Hey guys, im on the prowl for some new tyres for my line....i have an r33 coupe, and to put it short, a special deal is going on for a couple of Bridgestone S-02 PP N3's (285/35/18).

I need to know 3 things:

1) Will 285's fit under the guards (rear) of my r33 w/o too much problems?will i need to camber the rears

2) Will my 9.5" rear rim size be fine for the 285 tyres (currently on 265's)

3) Will i benefit from going 265 - 285, other than the fact im going from el cheapo Kumho's to Bridgestone Pole Position's, will i get better off the line traction?

4) Sorry had to add last question, most importantly would you reccomend these tyres for the street, for a lighlty modded r33 gtst skyline, hardly ever goes on the track.

cheers for all that reply!

firstly,

What are ur stock tyre profiles?

What tyres will you be running on the fronts if you chose 285/35?

Going from 265/35 to 285/35 will increase your overall diameter (14mm approx) If GSTSs came stock with 17s or 16s, would possibly throw ur speedo a fair way out.

Also whether they will foul ur guards will depend on what wheel offset u have on the rears...+38 to +35 you "should be fine".

I would stick to 265s personally

Hey nsta, go the 285 it will give better traction off the line and they look great from behind. I have the 285s on the back of my R33 no camber, no rolled guards. I say go for it. If for some reason they dont fit your car im sure they can take them off its just like going shopping for clothes, try them on.

and mate sorry i cant get any pics at the moment of the 285s.
