how wide is too wide?

im looking for wheels for a 32 gtst and want 235 and 255 tyres.

is 9 inch rims all round going to be too wide for the front?

on the other hand has anyone had 255s on 7.5inch rims?

what if i had 235s on 9 inch rims on the front...

is this dangerous to stretch out the fronts? for hard cornering etc

someones gotta have tried it, or at least be in the know about it

i got 235 on front and 255 on rear on 7.5 inch rims i think

and 18x9x265x40 profile on rear

SIKR33 - ive got the same size rims but with 255 on the rear. how do the 265's go - any rubbing or have you rolled your guards?

Ive found whilst rim shopping that 8 front and 9 inch rear combinations seem to be quite common in offsets for skylines.

Personally I wouldnt got 9's on the front.

i found out from a tyre place that a 235-45-17 can be put on a rim between 7.5 and 9 inches. red17, ive been looking for a set off second hand 8 and 9 inch 17s or 18s but cant really find much. found out these 9s are gtr offset so wouldnt fit anyway.

ok i jsut measured my rims i have 10" (10.23") rears and 7.5" fronts (7.39")
