Has anyone removed the first muffler from their skylines exhaust system?

Ive heard its legal because you only require 1 exhaust....

stock, or aftermarket?

ive got an aftermarket exhaust with a 'cat', resonator, and cannon.

id leave the resonator in there, otherwise it will be loud and droney.

Mine has a CAT, 1st mufler and resonator and is still really droney!

are you sure the cat has insides? or just a shell.

that can cause it to be droney too.

Nah mate I put that in myself bought from Batmbl, that and a dump pipe. Thought it'd help but made no difference to the droning.

Thanks Gary, but I'm after a highflow one.

I think there are peeps looking for stock cats somewhere on the forum.. Might be better to get something for it then to throw it out.

I believe its stock, but was told by someone that theres a slight hole around there somewhere. $90 to remove it and weld a bit of pipe in. I spose if you have 1 muffler, a compliance check (if it gets yellowed anytime) should be fine.
