hi all. my 33gtr runs about 600 bhp @ the fly. last weekend whilst on silverstone curcuit/uk i had a bad misfire issue. came off track and removed plugs and coilpacks.. 4 were white in colour two where black. so hence the misfire. noticed the coilpacks were red hot, i still have my plug cover fitted as i have a vented bonnet and water is an issue in the uk. anyway let the coilpacks cool fitted them back on and cleaned the two plugs up with a cloth. did not fit the coilpack cover and went out for 2 more sessions no more problems.great. but i would like to run with my cover fitted is this impossible or do i just have a couple of faulty packs. cheers bernie.. p.s. temp outside was about 25 deg on the day.. each session lasts 20 mins and silverstone is 3.3 miles a lap..

Coils are the "usual suspects" when diagnosing misfires, however, check the ignitor module as a culprit of hot temp misfires.

Also worth checking the condition of the coil pack harness - particularly the connectors and the earthing lug.
