i don't get any spiking, but i do have bleed off at high rpm at WOT, but i have put this down to the turbo maxing out rather than the controller.

when i went to a EBC on my 33 gtst the high rpm bleed off was much better as the "fuzzy logic" boost controllers learn your turbo response characteristics and adjust themselves in the upper rev range

i did get a bit of bleed off though right at the top as I guess the EBC couldnt do much at thet point if the turbo was totally out of breath

so basically they both do the same thing . the ebc just does it a bit better and with more flexibility . personally i think if your running a stock or ish turbo and need to squeeze every last psi out of it then go the ebc . it will let you run a set boost more accurately and as close to that point as possible for as long as possible in the rev range

Just got my JRD boost controller installed today. (similar to the $22 one, similar price too)

Haven't got the same stable results as other people - it boosts up to 11psi and then starts to work its way back down to 9psi by the top of the rev range. Boost does build up very quickly though and my power graph is almost a straight line.

Still, not bad value for money. :P

what mods do you have? i was getting bleed off about the same as you when i had my stock cat and dump pipe.

Its listed in the other thead I just posted...

Basically, 3" turbo-back exhaust, apexi air filter, jrd boost controller, and GT30 turbo.

170rwkw @ 9psi. :P
