G'day gents and ladies,

At last, I've given up on the stock car and started with a few mods. It's addictive! I just wanted to ask anyone out there if an ecu would be the next logical step...

I have a HKS 3" cat back; and a K&N high flow panel filter. The difference is awesome (my wife hates me more now). Everything else is stock at the moment.

Should I go for a FMIC and front pipe first before getting something like a Apexi Power FC?

Thanks guys. Look forward to soaking up on your words of wisdom.:uh-huh:

I'd put in the aftermarket ECU after you have upgraded pretty much everything else.. but even if you don't its going to provide useful gains.

You can up the boost to around 10psi without a FMIC for good power gains if you haven't already.

I think though in the R34 the stock computer is a fairly decent unit anyway, and gives good performance, compared to some of the R33's and R32's where good gains can be had in adjusting the ECU.
