Just got back from this.. one of the best motoring events you could ever go to. I've been to the GP in Melb and things, and for sheer coolness and variety this event would have to top it. Not only do get to see pretty much every classic car you could imagine, for once you actually get to see them race on a nice tight street circuit right up close. And you can just move around to one of the many awesome vantage points throughout the day. Best of all, only $25 for the whole day.

It's mostly oldies and classics, and they had pretty much most of the classic Bathurst winners, and most of Brocky's old racers -- and they had a bit of a tribute to him which was an emotional event for the rev heads. Ironically (curiously?) the famous A9X Torana broke down during parade lap, and had to be towed around! Even a Pagani fanging it around there, and people just having a heap of fun.

Anyhow, this is still skyline related.. as there are a few shots of the Gibson HR31 and Winfield Bathurst GTR. Was great to see them up in person, and even see under the hood of the infamous GTR, which didn't look all that out there to be honest in terms of GTR.

It's only an hour or so from the Goldcoast, so don't miss out next year if you're a fan of some of the classics.

Yup...its the endurance setup i think...with backup pumps and all. Nothing wrong with a mechanical fuel pump, if anything its reliable seeing no electrics with it, well except whats in the boot. Lovely setup for something thats 14-15 years old. From what SK was saying i think they were around the 600bhp mark originally until they were forced tune it down and add weight - unfortunately thats the disadvantage of being too quick

Yeh the cylinders one feeds fuel and the other equalises the tank pressure so you can get fuel in as quick as possible, time is everything.
