well i need an RPM signal in VOLTS... from within the engine bay...

the ECU sends out PULSE and i have a tacho that reads VOLTS ONLY...

so ECU PIN-OUT is no good :D

the engine is a series 1 RB25 someone was telling me that there are wires that come out of the loom that loops over the igniter and back into the loom again "is this wire that i want"

AND what wire is it??

does anyone know what colour the wire is or have a pic to show me??

i need help with this, both taping off of the signel wire at the back of the dash and ECU will give me the wrong signal type...

cheers ash..

it would be the same wire that you hook a timing light up to. at the back of the motor there an ignitor pack (depending on the year of the motor). it is a box about 3"x3" and about 2cm thick. it has a plug going in eash end. coming out of the plug on the passengers side of the car should be a wire that comes out then loops back into the plug. that is the wire you want. it is simply there to use as a check wire for timing lights.
