Hey guys;

Just got and put in the Profec E-01 - a fascinating piece of kit for a boost controller :D Come time to set it all up we've hit a bit of a barrier; settings must be wrong or conflicting. Boost goes up to 18psi, boost goes back down to stock, then builds back up to 18psi again...

Now; I've done a bit of research and it would appear that all the key values that can be changed on the E-01 are the same as the Profec B Spec Ii. My question is; how have you done yours (if you got one) and how does it go?

BTW; if anyone has experience or first hand knowledge of how to set the E-01 up, please advise~

Thanks

Stan

Howie; had a manual boost controller with the stock turbo... bought a temporary EBC with the new turbo but now it's time to get something a little more serious.

Wouldn't have a clue about the Manual/Auto mode - left it in Mitch's hands

glad it worked out. when i read this post I thought immediately of 2 things. either not enough gain (ie it's reacting too slowly), or it had not done self learn properly.

so what's the verdict? boost curve should be flat as a board now.

same solenoid yes but it has a fair few advantages over the profec BII.

it has an external map sensor

it has a more advanced processor and programming

has logging functions

can be used to control e-manage ecu

looks very fancy :P

Thanks Howie - doctor said I was beyond help so meh :P

Went for a drive in my car tonight (yes it's amazing isn't it); pleased to say that the E-01 WORKS!!!! and boy does it work WELL!!! Very pleased; money well spent! Boost comes on and hits you in the guts like a freight train now!

On a sad note; I smelt a lot of burning rubber tonight :(

Nice one :P

Auto mode seemed to work with phase 1, but i just couldnt get it to set phase 2... it'd bring the boost down by like 2psi and just not set itself!

But hey, i prefer to set the thing manually anyways.. more control :(

Now I just gotta teach stan how to use the bloody thing :(
