hi,

im just very confused right now about tunning a GTR........the tuner i prefer does not have a 4wd dyno, and he is going to take the front drive shaft out and tune my car on RWD mode.

would this actually affect anything on my car??? or does it do anything to Attessa system at all??

any info would be greatly appreciated.

cheers

How come ur using someone to tune ur car when they dont own a 4wd dyno? Maybe take it to somewhere that has a 4wd dyno and then u dont have to buggerise around with removing the driveshaft.

P.S frank, was over at dan's picking up some parts last nite, and gotta say lovely car u've get there mate

nothing to worry about. many tuners only have RWD dyno. 4WD would be prefferable, but if all he has is RWD then disconecting the front prop shaft and running the car in RWD is no problem at all.

Frank i got my GTR tuned 2wd mode.... Richo at Allstar done mine, and he's only up the road from where you are... drop in and have a chat with him.. couldn't hurt...

Noy, was gonna pm you for some advice...thanx man

i know Richo is a really good tuner( got things done by him before), but he hates Power FCs as anything........

i am gonna get Gavin Wood and Matty Spry to tune mine next week....

once i get Motec or HalTec with other mods, i will bring it down to Richo, and then he will be gald to do it.

why would it matter if it was on a 2wd dyno or on a 4wd dyno, they are not awd they only use the front wheel drive when the rear wheels brake traction so really they are a RWD car untill the rear whells spin

not true at all. do you own or have you driven a GTR? AWD is computer controlled and is engaged under lots of different circumstances. a lot of the time there is some amount of FWD being engaged.

further to this the 33 & 34 gtr's always have some amount of front wheel drive, hence why u have to pop the front drive shaft to put in constant rwd
