I've just tried like 6 different companys from the Yellow pages and they say they don't move personal items.. Bit of a wtf but anyhoo I'm keen to hear peoples experiences of different companys and quotes they were given for heavy items.

Yes I saw that.. But I am talking HEAVY items that may require assistance of a forklift etc.. Already tried 3 of the carriers mentioned in that thread with no luck..

Some form of contact details or where the companys are based would be a huge help too.

I sold an RB20 to a guy in nsw and i ended up driving it to him in forster. COst me $280 in fuel and we drove 1400km's in one day leaving Bris at midnight and returning at 4pm...

Was an awsome road trip...

try nqx. i think thats who it is. thats who my father-in-law's boss uses. i don't think he has an account with them. he makes stepside boddies for F trucks. usually 2 pallets to a body. i think he has sent a motor through them as well.

try a train transport company, they might be able to help you transport up by train.

Try young and land,

they just trucked my honda and a pallette of tyres+ wheels. I've used them in the past for my skyline too. They are a family own/run business and are very careful.
