hey guys, ive been trying to get my car started for the past 2 days and still no go. first i thought it was the battery because it was dead and after i had charged it, it wouldnt take any load. i then changed the battery and still the same prob.

anyone ever had a problem like this before. to me it seems like its electrical because its firing but kinda sounds like something is cutting it off as it starts.

Thanks, Mike.

Does a fuel pump have a fuse?Did you check for petrol?:laugh:

Sound like an electrical short ...check coils and plugs.

Then check if you can hear your fuel pump working.

Also sounds like a blown fuse...check your fuses.

failing that, disconnect the AFM and then start it up with half throttle. If that works, you have a dead AFM.

Turn it off afterwards, cause you shouldn't run it for long like that.

Could be no vacuum in the aac valve, at the back of the plenum near the bulkhead

if it sticks open it can cause a vacuum leak at low revs and cause a stall, or it could stop it from starting at all.

Hey mate, are you saying that my aac valve could be stuffed or something in my plenum?

Heres a DIY from these forums

Normally this wouldn't cause your car to not start unless there was consistently no vacuum, however I recently had some issues with Idle hunting and occasionally the car firing but not starting, and this seemed to solve my problems.
