Im thinking of just rebuilding my block at the end of the year using a RB30 bottum end.

My questions are,

Can I use a gtr crank and rods?

Can I build the motor and retune the standard ecu to suit the new block?

Approx price, can i sell my orginal bottum end?

I plan to build the block with forged pistons and a decent headgasket, I will do all the bolt ons at a later time.

I want to do it in stages,

And suggestions would be great!

Thanks in advance

Its costs around $8000-10,000 to do a 3ltr bottom end.

Being you need a special crank made from unobtainium... thats if you are going to rev it past 8000rpm of course.

If your not, then you only need a crank made of aluminium. Which is cheaper and easy to come by

But... who wouldnt wanna rev it that high >_<

It sounds sweet @ 9000rpm i tell ya.

Best get onto google, you can get em from the states if i recall

yeh bout 10k to build a 3L block, i dont think theres any need to rev past 8k mine is limited to 7800 and makes plenty power at that, plus the 3L will make a bigger turbo less laggy as well as having good low down torque

my crank has only been machined and balanced
