Just Bought An R34 Turbo With Hks Acuator

Hi everyone,

Just got an R34 gt-t turbo from Yahoo. It came with a HKS actuator.

I notice that the actuator flap is not fully closed. Is this right, or should I adjust it to close properly?

yeah if its not closed, it wil always bypass exhaust gas

so it will be mega laggy to make boost and probably lack top end.

it should be fully closed

to close the flap do I just wind out the thread on the actuator. Wont this affect the boost it makes?

That's probably all you need to do. And if you keep winding it past where it first closes it I guess you would be increasing the boost.

If you don't need it I can swap you with my stock one with cash adjustment.

sorry to hi-jack the post blitz... but how can you tell if its opened or closed ot not?

the flap over the wastegate exit is not closed. ie is not sealed shut.

the turbo has to be off the car or the dump taken off while turbo is on the car still too see the flap.
