Sunroofs

Hi guys,

I have been gathering info about joining my local car club. I have been informed by a member that i can not compete with a sunroof. Is this correct?

It is a CAMS affiliated club and a cams license is required.

What are my options?

most L2S events wont have a problem with a sunroof. it's not desireable, but for most club srpints etc you will be fine.

the only way to be sure is to talk to the cheif scruitineer for the event. But there is nothing in the CAMS manual about sunroof they are considered a closed car.

Would they let an mx5 compete? or a clubman? Pretty sure they would

Thats what I thought, a convertable is alot worse than a sunroof!

I will be attending their next club meeting on the 29th so i'll see what they say then. The events will mostly be autocross, motkhana and khanacross.
