hey guys im new here and need some help fitting my short shifter.

i just purchased a car with a R34 box and a nismo short shift kit which likes to pop out sometimes and is very annoying to fit up along the side of the road.

as i never originally fitted it im not to sure how it's meant to go in.

below are some pics of what i've got - dont know what the o-ring things are for - however there is a ring in the selector column where i could 'make it fit'.

the way it was - the fat spacer thing went in first, then the shifter popped in, then the cover went on and with the 4 bolts fit intot the grove along the side.

cheers. chris.

It is basically the same for a R34.

And it doesnt look like you have a nismo shifter, the main shifter is black for the Nismo one I believe. You either have a C's or a copy.

Those metal rings that you have actually lock the shifter in place so it doesnt move out. They are kind of like clamps.

Hope that helps.

ok. well i've answered my own question then. the circlip things are there to hold the stock shifters in place.

it's the cover that goes along the top of the short sihter and has the clamps along the side which holds the short shift setup in place.

i just coudn't work out if there was anything else there to hold it in place.
