Stock Rims, Custom Rims, Mod Plate

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

In the middle of purchasing a R33 GTS-t Series 1. The owner used a broker to import and compile it, however, it needs Road Worthy stuff done (I have agreed to as long as it's nothing major, getting it for a good price, and have a friend whose a mechanic).

My only issue is it was taken back to stock for compliance, however, the front tyres aren't legal. I already have purchased a set of 17"s with new tyres and don't really want to spend $270 even on cheap tyres just to get the RWC.

Do I need the stockers on to get RWC, or can I put the 17"s on without a mod plate for them?

Thanks,

Ben

don't need a mod plate for wheels no.

to get a roadworthy, make sure its definately been complied to ADR standards, and if ur mate is a mechanic and can do u a safety cert, then you should have no worries.

But as always, just be careful.
