I'm seriously over traveling now, Just found out I have another week in syd after only being back for a week from a 3 week trip away.

I so wish I cold just bludge in the office and whore the forums all day :P

But......on the other hand my Qantas frequent flyer points are looking good

i've gone o/s at least once a year with work since i started there... south korea, singapore x2 and soon malaysia... plus i think 3 trips to syndey.... it's nice when you can take an actual 'holiday' on to the beginning or end of each trip :)

4am start - 6am flight - Sydney day trips are more tiring than trans-Pacific trips.

But, our factory is right near this:

So I never a problem going to visit :)

That said - it's always nice to be home.

I travel every second week usually. Totally over it, although i am now the best packer in the entire world and my frequent fly points are looking great.

I Mainly go to Sydney & Brisbane and then i throw in an adelaide (boring!) trip every now and then. I never do day trips to Sydney or Brisbane only to adelaide which isn't that far.

My home away from home is the Sheraton on the park in Sydney, they know me well now, I always get a corner suite because I'm special. I like Sydney the most because I have a chauffuer driver so its easy to get to all of my appointments. In brisbane and adelaide i have to rely on silver service cabs to haul me around and they suck.

It didn't take me long to get over the travel though and I will never appreciate a 5 star hotel the same again. A lot of my friends hire hotels in Melbourne for a 'special' night out, i could think of nothing worse than having to stay in a 5 star hotel in the city i live in, I appreciate my own bed too much and they really arn't that good!!

Poor you.... :( Didn't mention the spur of the moment "work" you had to do at the summit of Mt Buller did you? You sure were quick to ditch the work van in favour of the wrx!

Love contruction sites... takes me 15 mins to work, 20 mins home!

Well there are thoes trips that make it all good, Like when the forget to send the equipment to darwin so you have to go fishing for 2-3 days while its shipped up from melbourne and thoes other ones where you get stuck in QLD for a few weekends in summer

But I think I'm just over sydney :ermm:

Juz, i know what you mean... whenever i travel it's the same - 5 stars and limos! plus because i don't do it as often, and because it's places that i may normally not go myself (ie. Korea), i don't think i'll ever get tired of it :)

now that i get to work from home 3 days a week, i get to sleep in and not drive from rowville to hawthorn and back everyday :P but i have to say, i do miss playing with a hand full of 'regulars' on the road on the way to and from work... except for INASNT - if i see him, i know i'm gonna be late :S

<3 my job!

Yep, used to do that quite often, usually the 6am Monday flight. Travel to Nowra was normal for a couple of years, haven't been anywhere for a while now.

Gotta love the day trips, The last one I did was an up at 4, 6am flight, 2.5 hour drive Syd to Nowra, 3 hour test flight, then drive back to airport and fly home, got home at about 7:00. Work day was 13ish hours, with about 4 of them being work, 5.5 hours in the air, 6 in cars (cabs & hire) and most of the rest in airports, never saw the inside of an office.

Travelling isn't that much fun, I always end up doing long hours, so could be anywhere really and wouldn't make a difference. I was staying in beach side holiday units, and didn't realise how close to the beach they were until half way through the second week, which was the first time I got to see them in daylight.
