Disgusted By Actions Of Cold Hearted Scums

Recommended Posts

although i sympathise with you, i agree with Al, the owners should have ensured it was off public roads.

Also its abit harsh to generalise these actions onto all skyline owners, there are idiots driving all different sort of cars!

but still, very sad to hear

yeah, you guys, or the thread post'er at least, need to take it easy.

were the dumbasses looking to hit the cat? if so, that's cruel and illegal.

today i had to swerve to the wrong side of the road to avoid a stupid dog that ran out from behind a parked car.

after my super cool evasive manouvre (i kid u not), this dumb dumb f(_)ck of a dog happily continued on its way, oblivious to the fact it had just escaped death. If i wasnt a nice guy, i would have got out and kicked the crap out of it and it's owners.

and if i'd caused or been involved in an accident while avoiding this dog, it would have been my fault, cos the law states that you must not swerve to avoid stray animals. it causes accidents.

dumb dog.

You saw some idiot driving 3 km over the limit, his car was low or loud, your jealous, whatever it doesnt matter, but you thought you would bring it to the attention of a respectable skyline community and make a hero out of yourself.

Luckily I was only doing 40Kph and the person was not seriously injured. But I still had that bad feeling.

If you feel so bad, then do something to actually help the situation, go find the owner of the deceased animal, buy them a new one, bury the old one and get on with your life.

i agree with what people are saying

if i had to choose between risking my life or an animal, obviously you come first. i would rather have the cat died rather than for the driver to go off the road and into someones house

but the issue is that he should have had the decency to STOP, pull over and see if it was still alive, instead of hesitating and then driveing off

would it have killed him to have compassion and see?

i also own a modified car (but the day in question i was in a toyota yaris) so i know that it isn't the car or make, it's the driver. i know this is a respectable community, in no way do i intend to bring shame to your community, but i am not trying to make a hero of myself.

because i did the right thing, i'm a hero? No, i'm just a normal person.

i'm sorry to hear that you have had to experience someting that draumatic and harsh. i don't wish that on anyone, ever!

but why should i have to bear the burden of soemthing that i didn't do? the decent thing for any driver to do is get out and see.

what i am trying to say is, it really really upsets me that anyone could be so callous as to not even get out and check that an animal is okay :)

I hit a person in my TX5 once...The front bar smacked him right in the head and knocked him to the ground...I asked him if he was ok, and he said sorry, and ran off.

Funniest shit i've ever seen :nuke:

everyone here seems to be in either one of two thoughts

1. the driver shouldn't have be speeding and should have at least stoped to check up on the cat

2. the cat shouldn't have been there in the first place

i agree with both points fairly, but the first point has more merit to it.

it's hoildays, what if it had been a child?

the government put 50kph zones in all residential roads FOR A REASON.

at those speeds, it would have been possible to brake for it and maybe save it (or brake a few legs) or swerve around it

all the rage has passed out of me now, so i'll just say this

karma goes around and comes around

don't speed. don't even accelerate hard.

just because it's a residential road, doesn't mean theres no one around.

and please please PLEASE take responsibility for what you have done

peace out, and take care guys

besides the obvious (lucky you didnt kill him), i have only one thing to say:

lol I only find it funny because i was there and know it wasn't a bad incident...

The guy was running across the road, tripped and fell. I slammed on the brakes and skidded to a halt, which is when I hit him, JUST before coming to a complete stop....At that point he was trying to get back up, so he was basically in a crounched position, putting his head level with the front bar...I'm sure it would have hurt a bit, even though I was close to being stopped, but it still knocked him over...

I was like 'oh shit' because I thought I had hurt him, so I got out and asked if he was ok.

He yelled out 'i'm ok...sorry!' as he ran off down the street....

He was a bit intoxicated :)

My mate and I were in tears, it was an absolute pisser.

Still had to report it to the cops the next day, and even they thought it was hilarious. :)

they were swerving like FCUK tarts all along corrigan road, merging in and out of traffic

turned into green street and started gunning it

i was behind you the whole way

Perhaps they thought you were playing games with them, or maybe they were too scared to stop because someone had been weaving in and out of traffic following them?

Maybe they didn't realise they'd hit anything?

Maybe they realised they hit it, but are allergic to cats and getting out to check the condition of the animal could have resulted in the driver needing an ambulance due to anaphylaxis?

For all you know they may have gone straight to a Police station to report the incident.

Regardless, it was only a cat, and it shouldn't have been on the road.

No animals should be left to roam free, especially animals which are predators and prey on local birds and wildlife.

lol. Probably not. I guess anything is possible. But yeah the point is we don't know their frame of mind.

a good excuse to say when you are being a idiot on the road.

'Oh, I was trying to avoid the dog that ran on the road and hit a post.' some ppl I work with use that excuse when they stack their cars.....sad

    • I've done a few BMS systems. Code in Canada use to force us to have any safety components outside of the PLC but with a code change back in 2018 I believe it was, we can now use safety PLC's to control everything. Sadly to your point, AB Guardlogix safety instructions for example are only available in ladder.  Machine safety is a very big thing here though, you're constantly forced to migrate to the next best thing by OSHA. I honestly prefer safety plc's, including anything from AB more then I do working with old school safety monitoring relays. PLC is only one portion of it, the rest of the electrical still has to follow to meet SIL (Mechanically linked dual contacts, bla bla)  Now tell me how to feel about safety over comm's (e.g Ethernet/IP CIP) on a unmaintained network haha
    • To your point, boolean logic. We're not only working with bools in ecu's, so it's very limiting. I wanted to setup a low WMI pressure alarm. After 1 second I want WMI line to hit 100PSI, 2 seconds 175PSI, etc. and trigger an alarm if it doesn't meet those thresholds. This would of taken me one very short line of text, but instead I had to bugger around with generic timers, conditions, etc. and so forth.
    • I much prefer that to an actual oil pressure issue, never would of thought it would of been a volt drop issue but SAU brains win again. Guess ill be turning down the oil pressure limit for the track and hunting some grounds. Ill hopefully update this thread with some high oil pressure and solid ecu voltage logs.
    • You've just discovered a really good reason to tell yourself, yes, I do need to buy an aftermarket ECU. Put the MAF in the bin. Slap in the new ECU and have a think about what turbo sounds you prefer.  Do you want a 90's style BOV wooosh? Do you want a hektik tsututututu?  Mate, can't go wrong. Just gotta get that ECU and the world is your oyster.
    • Hi. Iam just curisou about this topic. I saw this video. It is about Greddy Type FV2. I know that BoVs are about that sound but how and when to use it? I read some topic here and from what i have understand on stock RB with MAF there will be some "problems" if you use this BoV? It vents the air in to the atmosphere and the MAF on stock car needs this air back in to the intake and not out? Or is it wrong? If so...i saw you can put some adaptor to circule air back...but does that not "loose" that sound? I saw another BoV from Turbosmart and it has two "exhaust" like ports? One is for the stock tubing for letting air back and one is for "sound" and let the air in the atmosphere? Can someone please explain? This is the Greddy one:  And this is the Turbosmart.     THANK YOU!! EDIT: So i read about this topic some more and i if i understand that correctly: That Greddy can function either like BoV or 100% Bypass valve? And that Turbosmart is what they called hybrid so you can adjust what and how many air can be vented out or back in? Is this right? THX!
