what about a sau calander with our sponsors advedrts on it etc im sure we can get a somthing together.

you can do this two ways

every month with a different sponsor on the page (( month))

or have each page with the one sponsor on it so they can also give them away to there customers or sell them.

just a idea and you can have two cars per mont and make the calander for 18months so that allows for the calander to be used and able to be sold over a longer time period.

<b><b><b> Make a Calender!!!!!!!!!!! I think there'd be potential even outside of our forum!!! I get royalties now though  hahaha

Hmm, yeah, it's been suggested already, and is under consideration. It would take a lot of time and money to do it properly (and we wouldn't have it done half-heartedly), and it's still early days, yet.

GOOD NEWS, THOUGH: We have put order in for the first of our new products, and you'll all see it soon.

i was thinking a great addition to the t-shirts/jackets would be the addition of the username somewhere, either across the shoulders like the rugby/football teams or near the front pocket area or both. As i was at Calder on Sunday and was standing next to people who i knew online but it wasn't until we were introduced that we realised who each other was.

Good idea!

Would you people be happy with heat-pressed lettering either on the back or just under the SAU logo? It'll be cheaper than embroidering, and you have the choice of an arched design or straight across, as well as letter size being adjusted to match the width of your shoulders.

Any samples?

i really like the idea of a jacket having thwe username on it, i would definately buy one as long as it looks good! hahaha

i reckon have it designed like a real racing teams jacket covered with the logos of all the sponsors of SAU i think that would look HECKIT

To give you an idea, it's the same lettering you would get on a sports-style jersey, or one you'd buy at the end of year 12 or whatever... That's the lettering I'm talking about.

The SAU logo will still be embroidered, of course!

Not sure if you've seen the jackets yet, Michael. Have a look at these, the new batch will be exactly the same as these, even though we'll now have a supplier here in Sydney. Not sure what the go is with sponsor details, I'll discuss it with the other Execs...

Put hawt sau cars on it as well.maybee faded into the background somwhere.

I say go the racing team style SAU jackets and polo shirts with sponsors on it.

A suggestion for the calendar, possibly if we have another photoshoot of member cars we could have a photo of a members car for each month with sponsors being featured as well. The photographer being one of the sponsers we promote.

For example, if you can imagine an A4 type book opened and turned on its side and hung up, the top page would be the photo of the member car and SAU logo on the top of the page, with the member name and a few car specs, then the bottom page would be where the grid with all the dates would be, as well as a heap of sponsors along the bottom. Do ya get it?

The calendar would be an 18 month calander therfore you would need 18 cars to for the photoshoot (which wouldnt be hard to gather I'd imagine). And if there was more then 18 cars we could have a pair of cars per months, which would give you 36 spaces for member cars.

What do you all think??

Some of these ideas are great, but not really economically viable... Stuff like the sunnies, boxer shorts, ciggie holders, clocks, belt buckles and car badges would be great, but the set-up fees would be a killer.

Items like the backpacks, banners, beach towels, umbrellas, beanies, pens, and CD holders would be easier to get done, but, as pointed out below, we need to know that they'll sell.

Please remember, everyone, we want genuine ideas and suggestions here. We are slowly trying to help the club grow, and funds are tight. The more people we can attract towards signing up as SAU-NSW club members, the better our situation will be! And those people who sign on as members will reap the rewards of cheaper merchandise, as well as all the other benefits of club membership, as outlined here. The problem with some items is that there are minimum runs that we will have to buy before we can even consider them. One example are the thermal travel mugs, where the minimum product run is 100 - will we be able to sell this many travel mugs, or are they going to sit on the shelves of the SAU-NSW stock room and collect dust (not to mention the money wasted on a non-selling item).

Tim, if you can find enough people for a group buy of the race suits, I'm more than happy to get them embroidered as part of a batch of the usual SAU shirts/jackets.

    • I'm not up to date on the latest, but for basic modifications like pod filter, lower springs etc you can get a modification permit at the time of inspection.  For more serious modifications you will need engineering.  Intercoolers used to fall into the mod permit rule but its been a long while since i looked it up.   Either way you will be able to get it registered, just a case of $300 vs $3k .
    • Hi everyone! I’m the new owner of a 1996 R33 GTS-T, I’ve purchased this car over from Queensland and brought it to Western Australia and I’ve found that there is a hole cut out in the engine bay for the FMIC that enters into the wheel well (fender liners are in the boot). For anyone that has had to get their car over the PITS here, will this be a major issue?
    • Yeah I've spotted this one too, whenever it's lotto superdraw week and I'm browsing car sales dot com for my new ride They must be dreaming, maybe it's worth 150k for the link to Brock?
    • 100% accurate!  We are a pack of know it alls....  But, I bet people go to you when they have a problem! I've been on a bit of a clean up rampage too over the past month!  I've thrown more shit in the bin over the past 2 weeks than I have in the past 3 years combined! Anyway, it's all good fun being different! My wife sometimes does not agree!
    • ADHD in all form isn't about "can focus, or can't focus" or is hyper active or isn't etc.   It's all a dysregulation. Either time feels to be stationary, or time just vanishes in a split second. We are either under focussed on the task at hand (as we're over focussed on our surroundings) or we have no idea an atomic bomb went off beside us as we're so hyper focussed and locked in on things.   Not to mention the rapid fire thought process. What it takes a "normal" process to think up a solution to a problem, ADHD will be able to give you 5 different ways to solve the problem, and the pros and cons of each. While we can be highly impulsive and lack the ability to "control ourselves" we can also become paralysed with the inability to make a decision for ourselves. While most of us have an OCD like requirement for perfection, we lack the ability often to remain focussed to get things to a perfect state. Those with undiagnosed ADHD as adults, can often find the last part actually stops them ever attempting to do things that they have the ability to do, as the reasoning is often "if I can't do it perfectly, it's not worth doing"   As for projects... Ha ha ha, I still need to take the other half of my wall trim down in the Fiance's office so I can paint it. Need to finish digging and running the back yard drains, my R33, getting the Ninja bike registered (now being sold), the moped project, fixing either of the lawn mowers so they're reliable, along with a myriad of other things.   It's why I've been going through lately and just being brutal and clearing projects off that I won't actually ever complete. IE, moped will go to the tip, or be given away, bike is being sold, Subaru project being sold, some parts for other projects given away. Or I've been making myself focus on one thing at a time, by ticking off the smallest quickest ones first.   There's also a reason by our mid twenties we seem to be "know it alls", as we've all been down some of the weirdest and oddest rabbit holes when you follow the dopamine trail. It's often also why we're more a jack of all trades, but not a master of one.   However, pretty much all of my hobby projects, in one way or another, all come back around to automotive. That's my zen area.
