Driver Training is NOT compulsory for first timers, it is just something extra that the club offers to build confidence and give you some tips.

It is however recommended. Someone who has done it all before should have lots of information to offer you on your first track outing. Track lines/speeds/braking points/cornering/etc.

If you are comfortable with your driving ability, you don't have to do a DT session.

don't listen to me then! sorry Bec I was told "It is a wrx club requirement that you do DT if you have not done any track work previously."

but yeah its worth it anyway :laugh:

Whats the dillio with the WRX club not having any thing about this on their forums...

was just looking for the comfirmation of payment and forms list like they usually have.

I did driver training for my first time out and Sandown and I learnt heaps. I would advise doing it!!

Okay my entry for this is going in tomorrow.....

And my cars going back into Race Pace on Saturday to be tinkered with!!

I'm pretty interested in this! I might do the DT though, just to get a few tips because I plan to do heaps of track time in the future :laugh:

I'll only be on street tyres though :angry:
