Ticking Noise Under Boost

as it says above, my car has developed a ticking noise under boost. and it isn't just once it hits positive boost, but under moderate aceleration. now before you say 'gasket', here's where it gets a bit weird. it only does it when its cold. once the car has warmed up a bit it goes away.

i'm thinking possibly clutch fan, if not that then gasket.

exhaust leak, probably from manifold to turbo.......its a slight leak now when it heats up the steal expands so its sealing up

going to go round and check the tension of all the bolts tomorrow, and see if there is any broken ones.

if your boost controller is an old school Blitz SBC, they tick...

turbotech ($22) controller. and it only does it when cold. once it starts to warm up it goes away.

where do you get new gaskets from should it turn out to be that?

YEP EXHAUST MANIFOLD GASKET GRAB A HOSE STICK IT IN YOUR EAR RUN AROUND PORTS SHOULD HEAR IF ITS LEAKING JUST JAP SHOULD HAVE GASKETS

My PowerFC boost kit ticks as well.

found the problem. 2 broken manifold studs, and a few others were loose. getting them all replaced tomorrow.
