If respray doesnt bother you, get it black, see if your like it, if not respray it back to white ;)

well...I say it doesn't bother me an it doesnt cost that much.....but still not something i want to do from week to week....aint that cheap....hehe :D. Once a year to keep the car looking decent is enough.

when I had mine done originally a few years back it cost me $60 per rim including sandblasting, I took the rims in to them in the morning and picked them up that same afternoon. Coating places wont do the work for you, there not mechanics and dont have tyre machines, so you'll need to organise taking them off your car, getting the tyres stripped off at your local tyre shop as well as removing the valves an any wheel weights, then take the rims to them as bare rims.

Hope thats of some help. Cheers

Yep sure did, cos i want my rims resprayed, so now i know they have to be butt naked.

NismoR32 (who's R32 took out best R32 in the SAU VIC show n shine) had a factory black lip on his white GTR. It look teh hotness.

plus its easy to fix with some bumper black when you run shit over.

my rims are all naked an being sandblasted tomorrow, powdercoated tues/wed, an should be picking them up thursday arvo. Just in time to get tyres fitted an have them back on my car friday ready for the drag day Saturday...;)

so i'll have black rims for first half of the day, then i'll crack out my MT drag radials that are on my hot pink AVS 16" rims on the rear of my car for the second half...lol

Let me know how much it set ya back all up sandblast and powdercoat..

thanks mate..

Wayne: What I'm paying isnt what it'd cost....as I'm getting it done through a freind of a friend sorta situation that will be doing it afterhours. I'd assume it's cost about $200-$250 to get 4 rims done, the coating costs about $100 for 4 rims, uncertain about sandblasting costs though.

thanks for the pic JNR747. I dont mind the look of the black lip, but still leaning more towards sticking with white. It's being done in a weeks time so best I make my mind up quick smart.

thanks for all the respose so far guys, always appretiated

    • So either way it is gearbox out and look what is wrong?  I know about the input shaft bearing. Even before swap/new clutch the it sounded exactly like this: So is that inout shaft bearing or the other was installed backwards?  And can some please tell me the part number for that input shaft bearing? The gearbox is small box from R34 N/A and number is FS5W71C. Thank you
    • I am yet to see anyone ever regret a quaife or helical. ...other than drifting/skidpan duties. I kind of want to upgrade my factory helical with a Quaife (but really it's not ultimately that different, and is a MASSIVE UNDERTAKING), that's how good the hype is about them, that I want to try them 'just to see'
    • D2 and Ksport are essentially the same thing and basically just generic Taiwanese manufacture. Better than ChinaBay crap, but... not top shelf. Öhlins have got to be some of the best dampers around, so likely to be a good option. It's going to get to the point though where I suggest you buy from Oz. We have at least 2x excellent options here. If I were you though, I'd be talking to KW about doing something for the R33. There's bugger all difference between that and the 32. In GTR land, anyway.
    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
