MattyB
im thinking of the concept of if rb 26 gear will fit to the internal of a rb 25. from what i can find out its the same bore but im stuck on if the bore lenght is the same. from what im lead to believe on rb 30 they have a longer bore lenght than the rb 26. if anyone has a engine apart of knows of someone whom does on either a rb26 or rb25 could they measure the lenght from the top of the main bearing to the top of the block. im hoping nissan got lazy and used the same block. but im prob not that lucky all input welcome thanks:uh-huh: Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/13611-main-bearing-to-deck-measurement/ Share on other sites
Warpspeed
Rb25 and RB26 blocks are machined exactly the same. RB26 crank, rods, and pistons drop straight into an RB25 block. This is a really good mod, if you can find the bits. MattyB
so pretty much i could get a stroker kit for a rb26 and put this into my rb25? Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/13611-main-bearing-to-deck-measurement/#findComment-266892 Share on other sites
hungry6
i've have built both of the above engines and i can tell u one thing nothing from the rb25 drop straight in the rb26 and the rb 30 share the same bore as an rb26 but longer stroke. there are many differences between rb26 and 25 in regards to main bearing sizes rod clearance of block, head bolts are also different sizes. this is just the start.
