You're not really making this easy to be honest :)

You can get a shitty 2nd hand turbo for around $4-600, or you can get a GCG highflow for well over $1000 (i think its about 1700 from memory) or you can go for a Slide highflow new for $890 - the thing is, all people can do is offer, you have to make the choice ;)

Well im willing to pay upto 1800

wats the difference between the GCG highflow and slides ones?

quality? performance? why the big difference in price?

Thanks

The difference is the GCG ones are Ball bearing and the Slide ones are Journal bearing (which most skyline turbos are from factory). Also the GCG ones have to cover costs the Slide ones dont have to, like advertising and rent on properties, land tax, wages for heaps of employees etc

Both support 250rwkw with ease, it all comes down to how much you want to pay really

No difference in quality, no Slide ones have failed, and the quality control is the same, Depending on where you are located it can be installed aswel to make it easier for you

So the only difference is ball bearing Vs Journal bearing.

Is journal bearing the same as bush bearing?

Other than that the qualitys is the same. Both are good.

Wat would u recommend. Money isn't really the issue.

quality is more important.

Im located in melbourne also.

There have been many threads on this and Slides turbo's have always come up as top quality and the best value for money with the same results as GCG's

Hope this helps :D
