Ok, now that i have finally tracked down a Power FC for my R32 GTSt, i have a few questions.

Are the hand controllers universal, or are they specific to each model of ECU? If they are universal what $$$ should i expect to pay for a 2nd hand one?

Also the base maps that come supplied with the ECU, how close to the mark are they for a car running exhaust, filter, intercooler, and 0.85 bar boost. Maybe put in terms of whether it is better or worse then OE Nissan ECU. (Can i comfortably drive from A to B without harming engine???)

I know they still rely on the airflow meter, but i have heard people running vent to atmosphere BOVs with Power FCs. Do they still have the same prob with stalling, or does the flexibilty of the ECU allow you to tune around it??

... thats all the Qs i can think of for now

I got a Power FC running in my HCR32

The part number for the hand controller is #FCC2NT010-00443

I pluged in my Power FC to give it a idle tune

10min standard idle, 10min with rear fog & 10min with aircon on.

I found out that the Power FC was tuned to the previous owner HCR32 which i dont know what exactly has been done to it so i resetted the Power FC, it ran ok i had the same setup as you did then also, i would just wait untill u can afford to tune the thing.

BOV is ok nothing happened, no stalling problem at all.

Hi guys, also have a Power FC in R32 RB20DET, we use the normal PFC Commander that works on Nissans, 415- N001. I have used this Commander on R32 GTR's, R33 GTR's, S13's and S14's. Plus it worked OK on the Honda and an RX7. I paid $300 for it, used, on the forum.

Hi Joe, that looks like a serial number not a part number.

Hi Roy, as with all Power FC's the default/base map is OK, it has very conservative fuel (too rich) and ignition (a bit retarded) maps to protect the engine. Apexi don't want to get sued. So there is no way the difference between Japanese 100 ron and Oz 98 ron is going to be a problem for a drive from home to the dyno shop.

We also vent the BOV to atmosphere, and the PFC is tuneable to over come the stalling problem.

Hope that helps.
