20/25 Afms

Hey guys does anyone know if the rb20det and 25det afms are the same of not or will they do the same job?

yes thay are I useing a rb20 one on my 25 because the 25 one was no longer any good

Series 2 RB25 AFM's are different.

correct.....series 1 R33 AFM's (GTST) and RB20 AFM's are the same.

Series 2 R33 and RB20 AFM's are NOT interchangable

Hey fellas...while on the topic...i know rb20 and rb25 S1 afms are interchangeable and rb25 S2 ones are different...but do the S2 afms give better resolution than a rb20 afm when it comes to tuning?

i dont see how it would give any different results.

the noticable difference is the lack of seperate ground for signal and power on the s2 afm. the powerfc and other ecu's dont differentiate between s1 and s2 r33s and airflow meters so logic says they are the same, just wiring and label change. i dont see how it could give more resolution.

ive seen a few stock afm s2 pfcs make similar power and max the afm as s1's do

well on another note - my cefiro rb20det afm is purple :S and z32 which is orange fits straight up...

by fit straight up do you mean bolt pattern or plug ?

is the wiring the same ?

from what i've been told by sam 'dr drift' the pinouts are the same also!

so plugs straight in with no rewiring either. (using stock ceffy afm plug)

Sounds like a VL/R31 AFM.

must be the same - as this is factory rb20det cefiro 1990 and also have another one exactly the same when i bought the 2.4 out of another cefiro...
