Faid
well i have a friend with a GTR 33 who has them, but damn dude idd get that if i was you. that gearset is f**ked up good, the consitant harsh engagements that you can make with it. he has about the same power that i have but the way his car moves with that gearbox, damn Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/136291-trust-6spd-dog-gears/#findComment-2544605 Share on other sites

Leewah
The Trust dogbox is arguably one of the worst dogboxes on the market. The RacePace MotorSport 33 GTR lunched 2 gearsets before going to the OS Giken Cross Mission (synchro) box for trackwork. I know of another R32 GTR that smashed the Trust box on the strip with 450rwkw. If you're going to run a dog box, go the PPG or if you can afford it, just go with the Hollinger. Angus Smart
i have a second hand fully rebuilt (tightened, dogs re faced, and more tightening) for sale if you want. i'm asking 5000 ono. They are actually an alrite box, If like all race type transmissions taken care of and servaced on the regular.. i have had words with the people who actually make them, Quaife in the uk, and he has ran one in his gtr for a long time! and hasnt had problems at all. RPMGTR
Actually I broke it 5 times.. Worst part is you don't even have to try too hard to break it. Broke a different gear each time too,(even the input gears!) so its not like just one gear has a problem. And every one I know of that has actually used one has busted it..They are plain and simply not up to the job!! Angus Smart
i have about 500ps. 2.6L apparently when you go to increced torque they dont like it. increaced displacment is the main cause of this. tho never had a problem with it untill it selected 5th and 6th and snapped the lay shaft. this was a problem with them not bieng serviced and tightened. T04GTR
just like any dog engagment transmission. they need to be stripped down every coulpe of races and crack tested to ensure the dont break.
