Chicks just don't seem to understand the risk...! 'Changing the oil' consists of adding 1L to the motor. I dumped the oil from the Toyota 1600cc and had 7L in the pan!

lol, no worries. The tyre came from her Corolla that is now doing what the GT-R used to do (driving me to work), so it can sit happily in the garage for a few months whilst I fix a few things. Hey when's your car back? Should be well and truly sorted now?

and to the female SAUers out there, that wasn't meant to be gender bashing, just that neither my sister, wife, mother, mother-in-law, any sister-in-law, coworker nor neighbour knows anything past turnkey. Well actually my wife is pretty good these days

i have also noticed this disturbing issue!

after my gf had her oil changed last time BY A MECHANIC! (i usually do it) she never checked it, although its not really required so not her fault but still..

its a 1.6 meant to have 3.3L of oil, i drained it and it only had 1.9L!!!!!!!! if it was a GTR it would have spun a big end!!

Lots of girls have never been taught how to cheak oil and so on and some dont want to know , if u haven`t been told how 2 , how u gunna know , have u taken the time to show your sister what 2 do or doesn`t she want 2 learn

That's a fair point - I mean, there's some stuff I don't care to understand, as long as it works (like the fridge, DVD player, etc.). She came down for a looksee when I was doing a few bits and pieces. I don't think she understands the 'why' but definitely understands that taking care of your car is important.

Yeah the little motor must have been up to its eyeballs in oil. Go 4AFE, you've been very hard to break.

I recently managed to talk her into swapping the old corolla for an Impreza RS. Now she has a car that will support her driving style rather than restrict it
