Mesh In Front Bar

Hey guys,

well im thinking bout putting mesh in my 400r front bar (black stuff i dont wont it looking ricey) i was just wondering what do you use to make it hold in place.

With glue using a glue gun

just done some work on a vertex copy bar, they just used a glue compound and glued on tabs of metal that are bent through the mesh to hold it in.

i used black urethane sealer, cost $25 for a tube, but that mesh is stuck there good

i used the same stuff on the kit of my previous car. its tops.

I use stainless woven mesh sprayed black and is held in by cable ties. Protects the cooler nicely

cheers i was just wonderin what the best way is, i have my front bar in my spare room while my engine is bein rebuilt so i thought it would be perfect time to do it lol.

where do u get the mesh?

what types? cost?

i think you can get it from super cheap or autobarn its $30 a sheet can get it in black, silver, red and blue i think

Sicaflex; it will never move

I hit a possim at about 20km/h (under brakes), the mesh was damaged but the sicaflex never broke bond with the bar; saved my fmic.

i dont have mesh on my skyline but i did on one of my previous cars, i basically made a huge blob of liquard nails stuff on the bumper, waited till it was dry then screwed into it with a washer to hold the mesh in place, that way its removable and replacable.

I dont really like mesh on front bar's.. sometimes if there is a huge cut in the front bar for the FMIC and its covered with mesh, looks really ricey and such imo.

Dont get me wrong, i agree with you completely, just sometimes it looks tacky imo.
