Boot trim

Hi guys.

I have seen a couple 32's and 33's with the rear boot garnish that lights up ''skyline'' when the lights are turned on.

you know, the bit under the boot lid above the bumper that has skyline on it.

I would like to find out how it is done, or if there's a kit to do it.

they come from the factory as a optional extra, you could possible do it yourself but i takes abit of effort, search some skyline forums there should be a decent amount of info but i heard some guy in queensland got some in and was selling them for about $300 they were worth about $800AUS when they came out new.

It was a factory Option part.

You can buy the part through some importers, but they arn't cheap.

Send a PM to MYGTST, he made his light up on his own with a coconut and a straw. ok, maybe not, but he still made it light up.

Sorry to be rude and correct u, but Prank, it was actually done by using a palm fron and some volcanic sand, just to clear that up....

ok, so it was really a pinaple skin and some beach sand...

Back to topic, im sure if u rang a few importers they could point u in the right direction... even try japanese motor sports....

Course it looks rice.. but i reckon it looks ok..

I've seen a couple of cars in VIC with it done. You just gotta stick a tube in there and wire it up (I think).
