Just Fitted Fmic. Car Seems To Be Using Alot More Fuel.

I fitted the front mount to my R33 a couple of days ago. noticed the fuel gauge dropping more when just driving normaly. drove to work and back today and it used up much more fuel than usual. Is this normal? Can it have a bad effect on my engine? heard some bad stories bout engines blowing and stuff after a fmic is installed.

Maybe your driving it harder or have a small ic/ic piping leak.

I noticed no difference in fuel economy.

If you are using lots of fuel its running rich, which is safe but get a tune up as you dont know what the ECU is upto, try resetting the ecu so it learns the new combo BUT a tune is the safest way to go.

^^^ Yeah chuck it on a dyno and explain to them your problem.

They will probably suggest to you about replacing your ecu for a pfc though!

hmmm. how do u reset the ecu? probably get safc soon. should fix the prob.

unplug the neg terminal on your battery and pump the brakes about ten or so times so it drains the power out of the system.

the other option is to unplug the neg and leave it for bout 24 hrs...
