Hey peoples

I own a Nissan R33 Skyline GTST with the rb25det.

if i use the following mods:

Apexi Power FC with HC

Z32 Air flow meter

Standard injectors that have been hi flowed to 780cc

Bosch 040 internal fuel pump

FMIC 600x300x100

Hybrid style intercooler piping kit 2.5"

Sard Fuel Pressure Reg

Blitz bov

Wat would be the best upgrade turbo that'll give me a lot more power but

will bolt directly into my engine. Whilst still spooling up quick, before 3500rpm

Stock manifold and dump must connect straight up.

Obviously wanting an internally gated turbo

Thinking along the lines of a Garrett GT30 500hp or something

If u could let me know my options and prices that'd be fantastic.

I'm wanting to purchase a new turbo within a couple weeks.

Just wanna make sure im getting wats best suited.

Regards.

Guesty

High flow the standard turbo and they can handle around 450hp. With those kind of supporting mods, a moderate boost level and a decent yet safe tune you could see upwards of 350rwhp pretty comfortably without having to change a thing.

Check out that link for further information, theres always a couple for sale second hand floating around the forums just keep your eye out.

I like the idea of hi flowing, but for the money, wouldn't i be better off buying a new turbo.

Garrett, HKS etc. Something with a warranty etc? How do i know the hi flow wont fall to bits.

have been looking at slides hi flows, quite interested in those.

Cause spending $2000 for a gcg hi flow seems a bit stupid? doesn't it?

Thanks

When lots of people are using them with great results... doesnt seem stupid to me.

Shoot them an email and ask "whats involved" and i think you'll be surprised to find you pretty much get a new turbo, so its a smart move as it bolts onto the factory location and you'd never know it was there :D

''HKS GT-RS can give good results if set up well. Its a direct bolt on nothing needs to be modified.

They can run upto 1.6 bar easily, A gold R33 not to long ago ran just over 300rwks on 1.4bar.''

And thizzle is also suposidly running similar kw's.

can anyone else read cameron's post? it's 5 above this one. Or am i more smashed than i think? mabey both! hehe

Hello,

GT-RS Turbo or GT2871R Turbo are priced around the $1450 Mark so High flowing your unit

at $2000 as stated is not a good idea.

And if you have not spent the money on all the items on your list above,

save the money and buy yourself a GTR32.

Just my two cents...

Cheers :D

Handyandy,

Yes the turbo is rated at 400ps, as we all know HKS like to under rate thier products but it maybe possible.

Yes thizzle did get 300rwks but he does have a factory internal engine with bigger cams and the rest to suit.

I will let you know how we go with a GT-RS on a rebuilt engine, PFC & Z32 aswel.

Where can you buy a GTRS for $1450??? I'd line up for one! Thats good value or is this the HKS vs Garrett thing again?

um a gt3040 is only 1800 new....make hp easier with wicked response from a .63 ex housing

thing is, when your in Melb... if the turbo doesnt look stock, it can end it pain.

Hence the GCG is a winner using the stock housings
