Spark Plaugs

[DVS R34]

hi,

i have an R34 and i want to change my spark plugs, but i am not sure what i have to unbolt on the engine to get to them. could someone please help.

firstly you have to take off the coil pack cover. then you have to unblot each coilpack. then just unscrew each plug.

you may have to remove the intake pipe to get to the middle 2 plugs.

Just unbolt the rack its quicker than doin each coil pack, you have less chance of crossing a cylinder. Down gap to 0.8 use NGK bcpr6es they are ok for about 4 bucks ea. Leave BOV on intake pipe undo hose fittings only. Also remove your cross bar if you have one.

Also, when you remove your coil coils blow around your spark plugs with an air gun before removing them.

If you dont, little bits of dirt and grit will fall into the combustion chambers.

What about for a rb26dett - what plug and gap should i use? are bcp5es suitable?

not sure for the gtr, but heat range of 5 sounds too hot. they might be ok if the car is dead stock, but if you have wound the boost up at all i'd go to a 6.
