R34 Taxi In New Zealand

I'm sure there's been a number of these postings about skylines getting around as taxis but i was yet to see one. I've just recently moved to Wellington, NZ from Melbourne and was out on the piss last weekend when i came across an R34 with the taxi lights on the top. I thought i'd better take a pic of it on my phone just so i knew the next morning it wasn't the alcohol talking. Anyways, there's just as many 4 door skylines over here as there are sheep, so the odd skyline taxi should be normal. It would be a pretty big novelty back in Aus to catch a skyline home from the pub instead of the usual overpriced yellow falcon smelling like taxi BO. The pictures tell the story anyways.

thats coz NZ can import wateva they want and imports are ridiculously cheap.

I wouldn't want to catch an R34 cab unless I was in the front seat. Not much room in back.

It's a 4 door so plenty of room in the back (for a skyline). Most of the skylines here are non turbo 4 doors.

With no import tariffs they're dirt cheap here. Damn family cars!
