Intercooler Aspect

Hey,

Just got a Intercooler question based upon performance aspects, does painting your intercooler mattblack improve cooling performance?just interested in everyones opinions and expeirances, as im to decide to do it or not.

It shouldn't affect it either way

Some people will say the paint will decrease the cooling effectivity of the fins

Some people will say the Matte black absorbs heat

It's just a personal preference really

if you spray it lightly, the paint wont restrict the flow. dont go caking it on, and it'll be fine

Just a light coat then?with any matt black spray, say something you would purchase at supercheap?

yep

use the cheap stuff. its like $2.50 a can

2 light coats should be enough so that its black, but not caked on
