hey guys on the standard fuel pump theres a little rubber bottem and a little sock attatched to install this 040 should i remove the sock all together? and how does it all come out...

iv got the pump and everything outta the car!

you dont use the sock with the 040 pump.

Also when you mount the 040 to the stock bracket you goto make sure you mount it pretty low on the bracket otherwise you'll run out of petrol when you have like 1/8 - 1/4 of a tank left.

i cut the angle piece off but i guess u could bend it back. You need to get it mounted pretty low and angle thingy is in the way. If you search around or check the DIY a few ppl have posted pics of theres mounted to the bracket to see how she looks

so how low should i mount it i also noticed that the 040 has thred on the top can i still hose clamp that?

10 inches from flange where the big oring is to the bottom of the 040. If you need ta talk about it, give me a call on 0404336106.

I fitted mine on the weekend, took about an hour.

Im about to mount an 044 in-tank in my r33 gtst but i havent found any DIY for this particular install, just a gtr install, so any tips would be good..ill try and get pictures to put a tutorial together

I beleive an 044 is an out of tank pump
