Hi

I would like to know if the Brake discs and brakets used on the unique autosports brake kit that uses

porsche gt3 6 pot caliper are available for sale separately.

I would also like to know what would be the maximum disc size that can be used with the standard R34 GTR

wheels, and I read in the forums that usually these calipers are fitted on the GTR the wrong way, is it possible to fit them the right way on not?

You can fit them the correct way. I think if you speak to UAS they mod the caliper accordingly.

Generally the biggest rotor you can fit is around the 365. Some Rays rims and different types of calipers (say TE37 and Harrops allow you to run 381mm etc)

But with the Porxhe 6 pot i think you will find the 365 is about it. But again check with UAS as i believe he did a drift day at Oran Park with his Zed when running the Porsche brakes and he used R34 GTR rims on the Sled.

Don't forget it is a function of a few things:

- how the caliper fits over the rotor; ie. how tight over the rotor it sits and protrudes up;

- the wheel and space itself; a 18" RAYS TE377 has more room under it that a 18" GTR factory wheel, so you may be able to get a 375 under it but not under a GTR wheel...

I have factory R34GTR wheels running a 355mm with AP CP5555s.

yeah well i run a 296mm rotor under a 17inch rim and suddenly i feel masively inadequate in this crowd... :P

*hides.

brisby, make me a 330mm(or whatever) front kit pls.

hahaha, you make good points Troy. we have bothed picked over brisbys prized possesions. still at least I'm good looking. that's got to be worth something.

I've rang UAS earlier in the year, and they said that they will sell the brackets, but they need the car to get them made. They do put them on the right way round (john's 300zx has them on the right way)

I got a set of these calipers without brackets, I ended up getting them made up loccaly to suit FPV GT rotors (355x32 DBA 5000), I should be getting them back soon.

Hopefully i'll have mine fitted in the next 2-3 weeks, I miss driving my car

Dosn't the R32 - R34 all use the same design hub?

I Have 355mm Brembo dics and Calipers behind 34GTR wheels.

Not sure how well you can see in the pics but theres plenty of room for another 10mm of disc, caliper clearance would be the main concern. :ninja:

Looking good PSI!!

Thanks Mate :O

To early to tell as to there performance as yet...but definately look horn!

Although did choose the Black calipers (rather than Red or Gold) to keep the wank factor to a minimum

BTW, is this the kit here?

If so it mentions it has the Caliper adaptors, and is shown behind a 34GTR rim

The CSC kit I have will not fit 365mm rotors under R34 GTR rims. I run 355mm rotors also. You just hit the inside of the rim with the caliper on 365mm rotors. These are AP5555 copies so if the genuine AP caliper is slightly shallower they may squeeze in (??Giant - you there??).

Just had a closer look at mine and yes there is only about 2-3mm gap at best between the caliper and the rim, the CSC calipers on Andrews looks even closer again, so not enough to accomadate the 5mm extra required to fit the 365mm rotors I suspect.

BBGTR, how much did your csc setup cost you and whered you buy it from, and do you have fronts and rears or fronts only?

Can someone please post pics of these AP5555 caliper setups?

And what exactly is an AP5555 caliper? is it a top shelf AP 6pot or what?

Those are the CP5555's

CSC's are available through Benson Motorsports in Tassie, [email protected]. Also try NVU, who also stock them in Victoria.

Hi,

I have 355*32 6 piston fronts and 343*28 2 piston rears - when you throw on braided lines and decent race pads it's a $6k proposition. It's a lot of coin but I prefer to have shmicko brakes and suspension rather than a million horespower. I bought these from Hyper-Tech here in Melbourne. They can be contacted on (03) 9873-0133.

The AP's are exactly the same apart from the bridge design. The AP's have 2 bolts that rest on top of the pads where the CSC's have a 4 bolt plate.

Regards

Andrew
