Howdy all,

i just have a question for those who know.

i have hnr32, a.k.a. r32 with 4wd like GTR.

When i asked a guy about changing front diff oil he said dont need special oil as it uses oil from the engine..

is this right ? so when i change my engine oil do i have to drain the front diff and or fill up the front diff??

i changed engine oil bout 6,000kms ago and looking at changing again in the next few weeks, but wanna know about the front diff...

if anyone knows id appreciate your input :(

thanks

they have separate oil.

there are drain and fill plugs on the cover of the diff housing, just below where your engine oil filter sits.

the front diff uses standard diff oil.

r u sure? cz i was changing my rear diff oil at the time, and guy at car shop said i dont need front diff oil, as uses oil from engine... ill have to check into this with some other work shops... dun wanna stuff up my car

have a look under your car dude u will clearly see a filler and drain bolt on the diff and a drain bolt on the sump , the "guy" at the car shop doesn`t know nothing

Engine oil 7.5w30

Front diff 80w90 i think this is just off the top of my head
