Anyone has got the Auto Gauge smoke face boost gauge? It comes with a "T" piece with build in restrictor and just wondering what does it do to the boost reading. Due to the larger "T" piece supplied by Auto Gauge, I did not use the "T" piece. Instead, I just use the old "T" piece from my privious gauge and now boost reads 1 PSI lower! Which reading should I trust? Anyone can help?

is this the t piece that you use to tap into the vacuum line in the engine bay?

as far as i know, that line doesnt need to be restricted, u just want to carry the pressure to the gauge.

if you just use a t piece thats suitable to the diam of the hose, there shouldnt be any issues.

inaccuracies might be due to it being an AutoGauge.

Hmm interesting. I never thought about that. I think I reused a diff t piece and mine reads 1-2 psi too low.

in my experience with cheap ass gauges. they work ok for a little while, but after a few months you would get a more accurate reading by sticking your finger in the turbo inlet and measuring how much it hurts, then derive your boost reading from that.

lol, well the 12 year old in china who assembled it must have had a particularly good day! :(

but you did say it's not accurate? but i guess consistently inaccurate is kind of better than varyingly inaccurate.

Same gauge here..

Compared against a mechanical gauge it was over 5 psi out (low).

Currently resides in the round filing cabinet.

Looking for a decent replacement.. Probably get a greddy mechanical as it will go with my exh temp and oil temp electrical gauges, unless anyone can suggest better / cheaper (not exclusive).
