yeah like dezz said 193kw. running wolf3d. 60ft time 2.3 which is what most others were getting with same mods and power as me. 100km in 5th is the same as you guys 2600rpm. mechanic suggested clutch slipping but i think i would have notice that. also maybe cat has caved in? its only about 5mnths old though.

oh and what igzactly is granny shifting?

having the cat caved in shouldn't affect it much unless it has caved in and is blocking the air. normally when they cave in they just blow out the exhaust.

it could well be a slipping clutch. remember that the strip is a lot stickier than the road, so there is more chance of it slipping. many people have fried clutches at the strip that were fine driving on the road.

your gear ratios are a touch taller than most. i checked mine yesterday and i do 3750rpm at 80kmh in 3rd (like the others) but that shouldn't make that much difference.

what rpm were you changing at? was it chirping gears on the changes, or would it rev up for a split second? how many runs did you get done? was there anyone there with similar mods that got much better times?

and most importantly, did you have your windows up or down, and was the aircon off?

if you had the windows down, then that is your answer right there. that makes a huge difference at 100mph.

I ran 14.1 @ 106 miles at the drag day. My car is very similar except running 1rwkw less (192rwkw). He has Wolf3d i have a SAFC. He is also running 14psi, im running 12.

So i was getting an extra 11miles over the line with basically same power.

I know Jason didnt run with windows down, as no one was able to anyways. Im guessing the aircon would have been off aswell.

yeah windows were up, air con off. chripped a little from 1st to second thats bout it though. tried changing at few different rpms didnt make a difference. was changing at 6500, 7000, 6250 still the same.

dezz, mark and leigh had same power same mods. leigh has a slightly different engine thinks its been bored out to a 2.6 but still running same power. dezz got same as me 14.5 but he was getting through his gears.

think my cars just a dud. ive got to run 2 more psi than everyone else to get the same power to start with. dont think they are running a pod either. stock air boxes.

im runing a pod.

Sometimes i hear that running anything above 12psi doesnt really do much.. maybe try and reduce it to 12 and see if it makes a difference. It may be dieing off when it gets up around 12-14 anyways!

maybe take it somewhere else to get her tuned ??

yeah thought about that. did a bit of research before i went to sabaddin but he checks out ok. heaps of people recomend him. hes on the actual wolf3d add in hot fours as a dealer and had his first car at 14 running on wolf. hes grown up with it and im sure has had enough experience to know what hes doin. but cant hurt to have someone else have a look. might get it dynoed again at sabaddin just to check ive still got the power i thought i had. does feel sluggish now but then again it doesnt take long for you to get used to the power when you increase it.

If you're getting 100KMp/h @ 3100rpm in 5th, you've got a 4.375:1 diff, ie R33 auto diff, same ratio as most RB20 R32's. I've got the same ratio in my HR31 with RB25 box. It can be a bit of a pain on the highway (really could use a 6th gear) and you basically never use first unless you've practically come to a stop.

With standard 4.11:1 R33 manual diff you should be getting around 2800-2900rpm for 100k's in 5th.

yeah thats how i see it. if it dies i'll just have to go hiflow. in a way im hoping it does. but as it turns out i might be selling my car. need a ute for work. roof racks on a skyline? i dont think so. so touch wood my turbo doesnt blow. only problem with selling is, have you seen how many skylies are for sale? theres like 9 pages of them on car sales. be nice to hold on to her and have a ute but cant afford that. only had her for eight months.

yeah cubes thats something ive been meaning to check out. dont have a hand controller or boost gauge so i'll have to find out when i get it dynoed again, if i even bother trying to fix it now.

    • I'm selling my personal race car. 1992 BNR32 Skyline GT-R About eight years ago the engine developed the dreaded low oil pressure problem. I removed it and found the issue. However shortly after I moved half way across the country, moved my work shop, bought a house, got married, then moved my shop again to it's permanent location for the time being. in turn I do not have the time to race this car as it should be. In turn the engine I built for this car will end up in my street car and this car I hope finds a home with someone who can use it to it's full potential. The roll bar was built by Jason Noren Fabricaiton in Pomona California to SCCA and NASA Specs. The car used to compete in redline time attack and global time attack enthusiast class. It also has a fire suppression system.  The car is with me at my workshop in Kyle Texas, USA. Shipping it is no problem, I can personally deliver the car to the port of either Houston or Los Angeles. Any other port depending on where it is may require transport but we can always work that out.   The chassis itself is rust free, rear quarters and under fenders are free of any rust so it's a very solid foundation for anyone who wishes to move forward with it. As posted and at the asking price of $20,000 USD the car includes all of the following;   All OEM Body panels, front fenders, rear bumpers etc.  OEM Nissan Projector headlamps (Pictured N1 lamps were removed) OEM Nismo Side Skirts / Extensions OEM Rear Spats  Front & Rear Subframes are installed car is full roller Rear Subframe has Cusco Camber Arms, Whiteline HICAS Elimination Front Subframe has Whiteline tension rods and whiteline Sway bars w/ endlinks.  Buddy Club N1 Coilovers All chassis wiring and engine wiring is in tact. Attessa System is fully in tact and was functional before engine removal.  BCNR33 GT-R Brembo Brakes F+R with Endless MX72 Plus Pads, DBA Rotors & Stainless Steel Brake lines Billion Racing Radiator Billion Radiator Hoses Fluidyne Engine Oil Cooler Accusump System (trunk Mounted) 5 Speed Transmission w/ Transfer Case F+R Prop-shafts Rear Differential With rear Axles.  Nismo Gauge Cluster Nismo Clutch + Flywheel   Essentially what is needed to make this car running and driving again is as follows: A working Engine, an ECU, and time to put it together. The price posted is or best offer as I am willing to remove some components to accommodate price to a certain extent. If any serious buyer wants full detailed pictures, videos, or any questions I'll be happy to answer them. I believe this car is priced to move quickly considering it's a rust free and very straight chassis but always open to fair negotiation.  I can be contacted via phone or email. • So...to my (and my mechanics doing the swap) surprise...the oil pan from NEO engine does not fit 100% and needs to by modified like this: It is not a huge problem but in the future i want a "proper" oil pan. So question is...what different oil pan can i get to fit without any problems and modification? Thanks!
    • Some more info I found.  These are the last entries Yoshikiyo Fujii made on his blog before he passed away in 2009: http://blog.livedoor.jp/fujii_dynamics/ And finally this is where the workshop was situated:  https://maps.app.goo.gl/HhTPtHzt3WVcBTiEA
