As per the topic, I'm needing a new battery as I've had a few problems with the one that's in there now. So I was wondering instead of just wandering out and buying whatever fits, do any oy you R33 owners have anything you can reccomend to me as a decent battery, cause I've had enough of the crappy thing that's in there atm. Cheers

just a quick pointer....you sure its not your altinator? coz i thought i had a bad battery in my old car and i replaced it only to have the new battery to die. I hope it is your battery coz they are f**king expensive.

Hmm... The car started after work. Made the sound that trying to start on a near dead battery (that kind of high pitched whirry noise) then turned over. I tried it another couple of times since i was all "WTF?" and it started no problems. Anyone have any idea what this could be? Alternator? Mechanically, I know bugger all. There have been another couple of instances in the past where the car didn't turn over properly (but not like it was a flat, just made that whirring noise then started on the next try) so now I'm fearing the worst :)

The dry cell ones are awesome, however for the price i wouldnt bother.

I just got a run of the mill one from autobarn, there's one that suits the R33, its in the booklet thingo there...

yuup did the same, working a treat, although dont have any heffty strains (woofers) on it, so it depends on what the battery will be driving in the long run :)

If it is just the battery theres a wholesale place over in Queanbeyan (on Uriara) he just searches up on his database whats available for the make, model and year, walks into his factory and comes back with the battery for about 30% cheaper then youd be expecting at battery world

Check that the alternator is charging and also put a booster pack on and see if it still does it as it could be a starter or ring gear problem. If it is a battery then all i can suggest is you buy the one that has the most CCA which is cold crank amps, as i looked into the oddysey batterys and i found that they had lees CCA than some of the others. AGM or dry cell are excellant but pricey.
