I am stripping my " blown up " RB26dett

How does the Crank timing Gear come off?

Harmonic balancer is off.

How do I pull the Crank Timing Gear off?

Needs to come off so I can remove oil pump.

Cant find it in the Manual.

If its supposed to come off easy, mine is jammed on.

Am I missing something obvious?

Thanks

What's the best way of destroying it without damaging the oil pump and crank?

Use a small angle grinder to cut a groove on it (doesn't have to be all the way to the crank) then a drift to split it . You may find that the heat from the grinder will loosen it up .

If i was you i would use an oxy torch on it first , just heat the gear and it will come, always worked for me .

if it doesnt come off after any normal removal methods we just drill a few holes inline along half of it and tap it a few times and it just cracks through...bingo. Here in aus its about 40 bucks for a brand new one.
