Rb20 Close Ratio Gearbox

3) Detailed item description ; This box is in excellent condition it has been in my car for about 3 months now, when i bought it i got a recipt for the refresh it had (syncros, seals) but i've lsot that now.

This box has close gears, much closer then a standard 5 speed, would suit someone rallying perhaps?

The ratios are nice and short but as soon as i got onto the highway it was revving a litle to high,

I just picked up another box today as i'm more of a highway cruising person.

Comes with shifter/all sensors does not crunch gears at all this box is in VGC, anyone interested has probably a couple days to see it driving in the car as i'm pulling it out thurs/fri.

can you tell me what the ratios are?

want speed are you doing at redline in each gear?

in 5th doing 100 what rpm are you doing?

With my 3.7' gears, it was at 3000rpm in 5th at 100.

Not sure what they are at all, here is a estimation of each gear keeping in mind the rb30 revs to about 5500rpm (safely) and yours will rev moer if you have a twincam.

1str, 48km @ 5500

2nd 93km @ 5500

3rd 125km @ 5500

etc etc.

so this has just come off an RB30 motor? turbo or non turbo? is it ment to be an R32 box?

With my 3.7' gears, it was at 3000rpm in 5th at 100.

3000rpm in 5th gear at 100km/h sounds normal.

not with a 3.7 diff.

3k in 5th is with a 4.3 std ratio diff

Yes mate came of my RB30 turbo motor was on there for a few month.

It was of a RB20 and has all the casting marks of a RB20 box.
