finalised the tune of the power fc on the shitfighter today decided to go with a mild map that came out at 171.5KW at the rears at 4630 RPM and pretty much maintains that level till 6200 RPM then starts to drop off from there.

i dont have a scanner so i cant show the curve but will try to organise it soon.

mods are as follows.

power fc, split dump pipe, hi-flow cat, centre resonator removed and custom rear muffler, free breathing panel filter, turbosmart E-BOOST2 set at 11.5 PSI,C's brand short shifter kit, and pivot speed meter x.

havent really decided what else to do yet power wise, but see what happens down the track.

as it is my daily driver and also the shopping trolley for the girlfriend i need to keep it reasonably cruisy to drive, i have my APRILIA ifn i wanna go stupid but is nice to have a car there to have some fun in too.

cheers oxford

wow, so are you suggesting that I could get around 200awkw for less than $1000 from here?

I do want to keep it safe so the engine still lasts a long time so dont want to push the stock internals too far to the limits.

Still, this would be a great upgrade for sometime in the future (maybe this time next year).

Gotta love the upgrade potential of turbo cars. :D

One thing I would assume with the above list is that because there is talk of increasing fuel pressure and making more power, there would also be a negative impact on fuel economy as a result. Something I'll need to weigh up if the opportunity to do these mods ever arises :)

With great power comes .....rising fuel bills

Didnt think you'll make more power by burning thin air alone did ya!!

Not really no :)

Was just thinking aloud. I think with every mod planned there needs to be a reality check as well. It all depends where you want to go with the car...

I've reached my performance target so anything I do now will be about making it more comfortable.

On the topic of fuel economy it actually still seems to be sitting around 12.5L/100km (city driving) which is funny because my turbo silvia I had before (same speed, less kw, 500kg less) was doing 12L/100. Amazing how much more economical the newer RB25 NEO is - with a good tune of course. :(
