Anyone ever heard of "Bunny Chow"?

Its a South African late night curry that you have by cutting a loaf of bread in half, scooping out the bread, pouring in the chunky vegetable curry and then using the bit of bread you scooped out as spoons.

My holy goodness was it hot!

As someone who, like many of you, is unsatisfied with the level of chilli or the heat in most dishes both cooked at home and when i go out (a friend told me i wouldn't be able to handle a laksa at this authentic malay place, but it was hardly crazy hot). I do however sweat profusely when i eat chilli, even if it isn't burning my mouth i my head turns into a water fountain. Anyway, is there anywhere in Sydney i can go for some hot food or any kinds of chillis i can purchase within a reasonable distance (i live in the hills/blacktown area). Keep in mind i may get owned as soon as i try something really hot because i've never had the chance first of all.

Maybe post in the SYD section for that?

being only a couple of nothern monkeys are reading this thread

I resemble that remark!

My gut is hurting again today - Why did I have to eat the whole Mexicana woodfire pizza with extra Calabrese?

Not insanely hot but there's something in there that messes me up

My wife and I pretty much drink tobasco. I know it's not crazy hot but anyway.

Our chiro gave us some chillis that where very big. Almost red pepper size and so we figured they would be kinda of mild. size related to heat right? Oh how very wrong we were. They were big red acid plant fruit. Pure burning which was very surprising. I would now like to point out how strange my wife is though, with the following story.

We made a pizza with not even a 1/4 of one on it and we said "wow! that was hot!"

The next night she made a stir fry with a whole one. I spat most of it out as my tounge was disolving and the enamal of my teeth had blistered off. She put the rest in the fridge for left-overs.

The next day, she re-heated it and served it up again. BUT THEN PUT MORE IN IT!!!?!!! Why she did this I still can't understand, she says she forgot, it I think it had burnt parts of her brain so maybe. They were hot.

So what I don't understand is how other people from the chiro reacted. We like hot things but if you're not used the heat?

Fresh from the tree! Not sure how they'd rate on the hotness scale for you chilli freaks but I reakon they're good.

Frk yeah! They're the chilli's I have.

They are called pubescens and are the only variety of chilli's with black seeds.

Throw some chook shite around the plant and water in over a couple of weeks & they are insanely hot.

I gave some to a work mate who is a self proclaimed chilli eater. He ate a 2mm sqare piece & I nearly called the funeral director. He cancelled a meeting he had 10 mins later & went home. (Weak sauce aussie boy) LOL

Oi wog, next time you get off the couch, take a pic of the rest of your backyard... i wanna see the veggie patch.

Then go out the front and take a pic of the front yard with the Tomatoes and other stuff growning in it instead of grass :)

Try this little recipe for a snack.

Take one Organic Tomato. Cut the ends of.

Slice in half. open up tomato so the inside bits are facing up.

Grind on some sea salt.

Splash on some tabasco

shake on some chilli flakes

Shake on some basil flakes.

Cut into quarters.

Taa daa.

Yummy.

    • Car looks clean as. You ended up getting quite a bit done 😂  So what's the plan for the exhaust?
    • The only Neo rods that were any different to any other RB25 rods were the DET ones, and they were the same as RB26. Here is a Neo DET rod. O5U part number visible. Here is a post in a thread here on SAU with evidence from someone who has done this before. There are photos in the thread of normal RB25 rods.
    • Sure, but why assume that will be the case forever? And why assume you'll be able to do an oil change to swap back to a stock drain bolt before that happens? And does it even matter when I change the oil at fairly short intervals? Life can be funny sometimes and unexpected things can happen. Like breaking a collarbone so you can't do any work on your car for a few months but the oil change is due so you have to take it to somewhere and hope they don't do something stupid like stacking the new drain plug washer on top of the old one.
    • Do u know how to identify the rods are rb25 or neo ones? Can u look into the pics and tell me is they de or de neo ones. Its confusing becoz my motor has de neo head but block is 25de 75t, so really confusing me about rods, crank.
    • Are you talking about the oil squirters? There is only one place for them to go. Yes, you have to drill the holes. Yes you have to obtain the correct oil squirters (I presume there is some sort of aftermarket option available, because original turbo ones are going to be a diminishing resource).
