My ceffy has always had a minor odour of coolant when I first turn the heater on. But lately, the problem has deteriated to a visable trickle.

Is it going to be a pain in the ass to get the heater out? Has anyone done it? got any tips?

There should be two pipes running into the firewall on passanger side in engine bay. These are the inlet and outlet for the heater which is located behind the firewall. There is basically a plastic adaptor that the pipe goes over and sometimes this plastic adaptor can 'breakdown' after time and cause a slight leak. Recommend having a look at these and see if it is leaking from there... you may need to have them replaced, which i havent enquired about as i have unplugged these pipes and blocked them off as mine cracked when doing the engine conversion.... but hey i dont need a heater on a track car
