Stardard Turbo

hey there guys, i just had a look at my turbo in my car and i have notice that i have HKS logo on the wastegate. so yous think this is startard or after maket or just the wastegate?

what rwhp and boost pressure does it run?

the stock turbo has nissan written on the compressor housing, does yours have that aswell?

its got a heat sheild over it. when i had it dyno it only done 189.4hp at 9psi from memory.

i had 200hp with 7 pound with fuel cut problems

how could you not know if u have an exhaust? check to see if you have the standard dump pipe and front pipe. and catback? surely you'll have catback exhaust..

lol what u mean you dont know if you have an exhaust? haha, wouldnt it be pretty obvious if you have an aftermarket exhaust or not lol

well what i meant about the exhaust not sure if its the whole system or just the tip. yes it is a skyline and its not a sticker

See if it looks Big or not hehe...

I think the Stock Dump n Front Pipe r Covered Up... sorta like a HeatShield..

When u look under ur Car.. n c the Pipe from the Cat all da way bak to the Tip is bigger compared to the Pipe after da Cat.. then it's Cat Back System

Otherwise if it's all the way Through then it's a Turbo Back hehe

dude i cant believe you cannot see the front of your turbo its not covered

have a harder look

i think you will just have a hks acuator

if you got a hks turbo is your heat shield got hks on it ?

all i can see on the front is the word motor which i think rest of it should say nissan something like that. i guess i have the stardard one.

stock turbo with hks acutotor (spelling)

im guessing the reason why your boost drops off is due to the size of the stock rb20 turbo.

i was running one on my rb25 and i was running 0.8bar (12psi) and above 5000rpm the boost would drop down to around 0.5/0.6bar

Boost controller may do it, but not a bleed valve. Its just the turbo running out of airflow, a bigger one would help (maybe RB25?). Mine drops from 13 down to 11ish with a bleed valve
