Could The Jaycar 0-5volt Kit Be Used As A Torque Split Controller

Could the Jaycar 0-5volt kit be used as a torque split controller?

I already have the hand controller so is this an option?

I just thought that with some of the cheap ways of doing this the 4wd is constantly slipping and the transfer case gets damaged.

If I used the 0-5volt modifying kit on the two outputs I should be able to have the car drive normally and the amplify the voltage to make it engage earlier when its needed.

Any objections to this?

Come on guys one of you should know whats going on and if a voltage modifying kit will work on the torque split.

I guess it would work - just wire it up on the lateral sensor, and set the load points.

set your own static curve to have more of a clamp at 2.5V

honestly, go the resistors if you want a fixed value... and for adjustable, I see you have found the $350 controller thread.

If I use the kit you can adjust the voltage in about 100 increments between 0-5 volts. This way the transfer case shouldn't be slipping when cruising if I only adjust it at the higher voltages? Am I correct?

yes, you can use it. you can set the load points however you like, but they will not be adjustable.

which means that for the money, you could wire up some resistors to give the same effect (and clamp at 2.5v), or you could get an adjustable controller....

so yes, you can use it - but it will be non adjustable.

Honestly, I'd just wire in a switch (G-sensor or resistor), and use that.

why spend $80 for what an $8 part will do, and you will still have to splice your own wires.
