Soft Suspension

is the softness due to the shocks or the springs ? My car isnt terribly low atm yet the wheels rub at the back, my suspension is WAYY too soft :S what should i be making stiffer ? and is it safe to go lower if i get stiffer suspension ?

Your tyres rub because the wheels have the wrong offset.Roll the guards,narrower tyres or lower the car for negative camber but bad handling.

how do you know that (not being narky just asking )

and yeh, that was what i was thinking at first, rolling guards, but im worried about the paint :S

if you use a heat gun when you roll guards, the paint wont crack (usually)

shock rates and spring rates are closely related (should be anyway) so if its too soft, then its both that are too soft

you wouldnt just go increasing the spring rates without increasing the shock rates or vice versa

thanks for the tip there mate, thiung is i will get it professionally done, so hopefully they do use a heatgun, i will ask, if they say the paint always cracks i just wont get them to do it :S
